9/1/07 - Tareco Pictures Presents: "Naked Under Heaven"
An independent feature in the "film blanc" genre.

SYNOPSIS:
A persistent wrong number leads to a fast-moving, unlikely friendship between two Los Angelenos: Paul, a well-intentioned and guileless family man, and Judith, a beautiful and beguiling actress. In the days that follow, Judith assumes the role of inspirator to Paul, a would-be writer. As she reveals herself with dialogue and diversion, he is her perfect audience. Judith is a breath of fresh air in Paul's ordinary life, but as he indulges his aspiration, fiction collides with non-fiction. Sometimes, the true measure of a man's character comes when he loses his way.

REVIEWS:
Not a single false note in performances or direction; a movie that stands out for its pure and simple, moment-to-moment truth. This is a satisfying mystery told through the actors' very personal and intensely felt characterizations. A different kind of American movie.

"Naked Under Heaven" may take the guise of a character drama or a comedy of manners, but it is never anything less than riveting. Here is a film that trusts its audience's intelligence; it's a treat to be pampered by genuine warmth on the screen. Bilowit has a firm, steady hand at the helm, a clear eye for uncluttered composition, and an ear for music that is as evocative as it is unexpected. Here is a welcome new voice...
